The MXRToolkit consists of a library of routines to help with all aspects of building mixed reality applications. The philosophy of the SDK is to keep the interface extremely simple. All of the code is called using c style function calls and c style structures so that an understanding of C++ syntax is not required. MXR Toolkit is provided with a detailed User Guide of more than 100 pages.

Hello Kitty Book
The virtual Hello Kitty Garden program demonstrates the concept of tangible interaction in Augmented Reality. A catalogue of 3D graphics models is created by attaching a different fiducial marker to each page of a real book and overlaying the computer graphics on the markers using the ARToolkit. The user can pick up, move, or drop the virtual objects by using a virtual paddle, but not the conventional mouse or keyboard. That will give the user a feeling of he/she’s really holding and playing with the virtual objects. That’s also the reason why we named it “the tangible interactive augmented reality”.
